From just another freak to Freaks Next Door: A True Story

Theater is an art, an expression, a philosophy, a way of life, entertainment for many, hobby for some, occupation for a few, and a passion for the ....well lets just leave it at that. But it will be wrong to presume that theater is restricted to just the stage. For drama emerges in the most simplest of situations and the trivial-est of  transactions. And how often we do find ourselves in the middle of situations which demand some elements of the theater.

In the world we live in, or more aptly the world of the commoners - where the social fabric interwoven with all it's norms, rituals, prejudices, and biases, along with the evolving hierarchy of men dictates the way of life - Theater has performed varied functions. From being the mirror of the society to being the mouthpiece of awareness. A source of re-creation, and also a medium to re-create and rejuvenate the conscious of the masses. And in its crudest form - just another form of expression to narrate a story. So, like each one of us and everything around us - Freaks Next Door has it's own story.

But its too soon to start narrating a story which has just begun. It lacks what we call the dramatic element so far. Not for long. Because Freaks Next Door endeavors to narrate stories which are waiting to be told. We believe every story deserves a stage. So if you have a story to tell, or if you want to be a part of our story or simply want to help a story to take shape on the stage - you also have the answer why Freaks Next Door came into place.

And so the story goes.....are you listening?
